Shana Schank, DVM -intern

Dr. Schank obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 from Iowa State  University’s College  of Veterinary Medicine.  She grew up in Northern California  and following high school moved out  to Iowa with the goal of becoming a  veterinarian.  Upon reaching that goal she decided that it was time to move back to California to begin her career.  While in veterinary school, Dr. Schank was employed  by the Equine department at Iowa State University.  It was during this time and with  a background  of horse back riding that she decided to pursue equine medicine. Dr. Schank enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim (married in May ’07),  their dogs Missy and Cooper and riding her horse, Sharky.
